Wow.... a month already...

It has been awhile....
Well, for starters we have moved out from behind my parents house (we lived in the barn which is actually part living area (cabin feel) and part full length basketball court ) and moved to Nappanee. WE are now renting (from my parents) a house that they bought and gutted and remodeled and decided they didn't want to rent to someone who would trash it. So, we are living there. It is nice it is three bedroom and everything is new. All that is left is painting color on the walls, we will probably wait until spring to open all the windows and ventilate! We still have our house in muncie which is why were are not buying another house here. It is still being rented so that is a blessing!
Cole is lots of fun and loves time when he gets to wrestle and roughhouse with his dad. He loves to play trucks and drives them all over the house and makes wonderful truck noises! Cody and I are enjoying life but nothing is new with us besides the move and we are parenting a child not a a baby which is fun and scary. Well, my big man just woke up from a nap!

It's about time for an update....

Well, in the past 3 weeks we have been to the park a few times thanks to the nice weather.
We had 2 funerals in one week (cody's grandpa and my uncle).
We have celebrated 5 years of marriage! We stayed at a hotel in South Bend and paid quite a bit of money to be able to SLEEP!!!
We found out that we have another niece or nephew in the oven (that makes our first niece due in Jan and the next baby due in May)
We celebrated Thanksgiving with Cody's sisters and parents.
We have learned that Cole freaks out when we turn on the fireplace and keeps waing his hands in the air saying, "ooohhhhhh" which is what he does when something is hot and he is not supposed to touch it, and it is quite comical!
I think that is the main events that have happened in the past few weeks. Enjoy the pictures!

We went to the Pumpkin patch and Cole was not really interested in the pumpkins, Go Figure. We did enjoy watching him run around!

There were goats at the pumpkin patch and he did not like them at all which is surprising he loves animals.... Cole loves to throw rocks in the pond, even though he really shouldn't because they are pretty landscaping rocks, he is so entertained by the splashes. I ,however, get so nervous because he does not fear the water at all. It is hard to play outside because he heads right to the ponds. It did make for some fun sction shots.....

Keep a diaper on your baby at all times.....

**What do you do when you find that the toilet overflows.... you run to find the plunger.

**What do you do with your naked baby squatting on the floor playing with your make up bag while you need to get a plunger from across the hall.... you shut him in the bathroom and run to get the plunger.

** What do you find when you get back.... a naked baby still squatting playing with your make up bag with a pile of poop under his booty.

This is the second time he has pooped while getting in or out of the shower... I need to get faster at clothing my son.

We have been going to a bible study and to MOTTS and I love both of them and Cole loves to play with all his friends. I am so proud of him he doesn't cry and I honestly don't know if he wants to come home with me.

Cole's newest obsession is to wear our sunglasses. He knows that he looks cool:) He likes to pull them off and then try to put them back on....
In an effort to be "fun parents" we took Cole to the splash pad. He loves splashing in the water and so this would make a perfect "fun" outing with his "fun" parents... however, this is all he wanted to do.... play with the park bench. Go figure:)
Cole is also sticking his tongue out in an effort to concentrate harder. He was having fun in this bounce house but it was very hard for him to stay on his feet.

Some things never change

Friday afternoon Cody left for the Ball State game, he would be home saturday afternoon. So, I decided that Cole and I would have fun hanging out by ourselves (and with mom and dad on friday night) WEll, things did not go as planned. I went to bed Friday night with my stomach feeling not so good. Well, early saturday morning me I was throwing up, it was only 4 times. Although, I did not feel like puking my stomach still did not feel that great and I had a fever. Which, is what Cole had two nights earlier ( I have joined the mom's club, I got puked on twice!)
So, I called mom and asked her if she could watch Cole for me so I didn't have to chase after him. She gladly took him with her to run errands. So, I was able to take a bath in their Jacuzzi tub and lay around all day in my PJ until she came home and then mom fed him lunch and then he took a nap. Cody came home then so I was able to sleep for a long time.
I had to just laugh looking back on it.

I asked my mom if I felt warm, I asked her to take care of Cole, I laid on her bed in my jammies. I may be 25 but I still need my mom! Someday maybe I will grown up:) Then again, maybe not.

Body Boot Camp!

So... I have joined a workout group with some other girls and we have a personal trainer who works with us. We start at 5:30 in the morning 5 days a week. I will be thrilled to go 3-4. This is only day 2 and I am so sore, I can't even bend over because my abs hurt so bad and my legs and booty and arms are also just as bad. I feel like for 50 minutes we are either push up position or a squat position. This is what I needed though, I can go there and get back home so that Cody can leave for work. It is actually at Cody's work (Laidig Systems) that we work out. Anyways, that is all that has been going on in my mind because everytime I move I am reminded of my good morning:) Anyways, blah blah blah.....

My little brother...

Tyler is going to Indiana Weslyan Univ. today and Cole and I are riding along. My sister Tiffany thatjust got married also goes there and her and her hisband have a house there. It will be good to see her today! I am going to miss Ty!

He looks like him... but I don't know

Well, he looks like my Cole and he smells like my Cole, and he kisses like my Cole... but it can't be him. The little boy I took to Hobby Lobby today is living in Cole's body. The Cole I know doesn't scream. The boy I took in public today was a high pitched screamer.....Yikes! What am I supposed to do about that? I have "ONE OF THOSE KIDS". Oh well, I love this new boy but maybe someday he can meet the old Cole and they can combine into one baby.

My little boy is growing up so fast......

There are some days when I look at my sweet little Cole and cannot even remember what having a tiny baby was like. There are many times where I will just look at him and wish I could have a video camera in my head so that I can remember all of the sweet faces and sweet kisses that I am blessed with everyday.


Today, my mom and sister and cole and I went to Shipshewana and we went to a toy store and he walked around and gave all of the stuffed animals kisses, and it was so precious. He is all about kisses and he is actually able to follow simple commands and I think to myself, when did he pick up on that? He is at such a wonderful stage in life and I just love him!!!

Scary Chicago story.......

So, my whole family minus Cody were shopping in Chicago. The guys were across the street in Eddie Bauer and the girls were in Forever 21. Tiff was outside because she has a headache, and I bought a purse because mine broke so I went out side to switch the stuff from my old purse to my new purse. Tiff was telling me about her headache and then she just said, I don't feel good." and so I stepped in front of her and she laid her head down on my chest, or so I thought. I was rubbing her back until I noticed she was sliding down my chest and taking these weird wheezy breathes, so I called out her name a few times but no response, I picked up her head and she was staring off into space and her face and lips were white. I was freaking out and slapping her face and shaking her. I picked her up and started screaming for help. People ran over and we laid her down on the sidewalk and someone called an ambulance and at some point my mom ran out of the store after realizing that she recongnized the pants of the person on the ground. After someone said she had a pulse and was breathing and said that an ambulance was coming she started to come to but it was weird, her face was all red and splotchy and it almost looked like she was going to get hives. It took her awhile to get what was going on her eyes were rolling back and forth. A nurse and Doctor came by and said she was doing okay. Tiffs sweet husband of like 3 weeks came running across the street and almost got hit by a car and was kneeled on the ground next to her kissing her and hugging her until they got her into the little chair from the firetruck. Well, after checking her vitals they said that she could be released as long as she ate and drank something.
I was a hysterical mess for about the next hour and a half would start sobbing and shaking randomly. That was the scariest thing I have ever seen besides seeing my baby come out grayish blue and making weird wheezing noises when he was born. I hate feeling so helpless.

She is doing fine but she still has a headache so she may go to see a doctor to run some tests. She has past out quite a few times before and all they could figure out after tests is that her heart and her brain are delayed in their communication. When her hearts needs to beat faster it takes a bit for her brain to tell her heart. Lets pray that they get it figured out and she stops passing out.

Other than that freak out we had a great time!

Chicago....

Well, tomorrow my sisters and their husbands and my brother and his girlfriend and my mom and dad and myself are going to Chicago for the day. Where is Cody, you might ask? We got a call from our renters in Muncie saying that a pipe is leaking thru the basement ceiling, so he has to go fix it......AGGHHHH.....
Of all the weekends, the pipe had to leak this weekend, when we have had this planned for about 2 months. I am so frustrated with our stupid house that won't sell and won't just not have problems. I guess we are just going to have to list it with a realtor.... So, if you are in Chicago and see a bunch of couples and then a lonely straggler, don't worry it is just me and I didn't loose my partner.

What is going on?

Why is Cole not sleeping? He took like 2 one half hour naps, like 1 hour of napping today... What is going on help!!! He screamed for his first nap for a long time and when I gave in to go rock him he calmed right down and then he clung to me and screamed when I went to put him back in his crib... any ideas? I hope this doesn't happen tomorrow...

He has been so much fun this past week. I love to watch him walk around and get into everything. He is such a joy! I love being a mom!

Cody's Home!

Cody is home, well he has been home for a few days.

He got some sun and is even better looking than when he left! I went into the airport to pick him up and it was a few minutes before midnight which was a little earlier than his flight was supposed to arrive, and I saw this guy and he really looked like Cody but the way he was standing was not how I remembered Cody standing ever before( hand in pocket or something like that) I saw this man from the back and was thinking that it was Cody but was feeling bad because he was so good looking and I wasn't sure that it was him (not because Cody is not good looking, he is actually very hot but based on his stance I was very unsure). We (cole and I) approached this hot man slowly, a little cautious and then he turned around and there was my husband, the good looking man that I saw with his hands in his pockets waiting for his luggage!!! Back came the butterflies that were flying around in my tummy all of the way to the airport.



Let me explain to you why I am now a little cautious of my ability to recognize people....

Cody and I are very honest about the fact that there will always be better looking people in this world and we don't mind saying when we feel someone is attractive because we are very secure with our relationship and commitement to one another. Not that we practice this frequently but we are open to telling each other. Anyways... so last week my parents were pouring a new sidewalk and so one of my dads crews were tearing out the old one and I was walking up to the house and looked at the back of a young looking guys head and wondered to myself who that guy was that was nice looking, that young cute boy turned around and it was... my brother... Now that is pretty gross. I must say that he did just shave his head to rid of the mowhawk I gave him the previous day so he did not look like the same brother that i saw the night before... however, it still was very disturbing. Here is a picture of that young cute boy.....

Walking!!!!!

It's offical, Cole is a toddler!!! I am so excited, I just love to see him toddle around with his hand up by his head for balance! It is the cutest thing. Cody, seriously,this is one step closer to him playing football!!! How fun! Here are some pictures of him walking and of him playing on the deck with a pot of water. I was making my sister's necklace for her wedding and was so deperately wanting ot get it done. Mom gave him a pot of water and he had so much fun, good idea mom!
