A Trip to the Grocery Store....

Cole woke up from his nap and was wet so we needed to change his clothes. We were running to the grocery store. It s 5:30 in the evening and he decided to wear this....

He had on Thomas pajmas that were limes green with some train print and 2 sizes to big Cars boots and a bright red jacket.
I wanted to carry a sign that said, "I do not pick this out and no, he hasn't had this on since this morning" I refrained and Cole thought he was pretty awesome... I think he is too, even if he did look Christmas-like.

Kira Turns 30!! Next month....

My friend, Kira, turns 30 March 22nd. However, she is having a baby March 13th. So, all that will probably get done on her birthday is most likely breastfeeding. So 3 of us girls decided to surprise her and take her to Indy for the weekend for her 29th and 11 month birthday celebration. I drove to Muncie and met Steph and Meghan on friday afternoon and we drove to Kira's and walked to the door with balloons, flowers and signs. We told her to pack a bag for a trip to Indy. We had so much fun! We went to dinner and then walked back to the hotel and ordered dessert to take to our room. The 4 of us sat in our PJ's on the bed and finished every bite of those desserts:) Saturday, we ate at this yummy place called Patachou's at the Park for brunch. I highly recommend it! We then finished of the trip with pedicures! I feel refreshed and ready to go at life again!

We ate at Rock Bottom.

Check out Kira's ADORABLE basketball belly!!

One of My All Time favorite pictures...

Here is Cody and Cole praying, before Cody left for his business trip today. I was supposed to be praying with them but after looking at my precious boys, I had to sneak off to find the camera. Check out this beautifulness.......

A really good day...

Ever since Cody went back to work after Christmas, I have been climbing back in bed after getting up with Cody to snuggle up with Cole. Cole has ended up in our bed most nights at some hour of the A.M. for one reason or another. I always have this inner battle with myself - should i crawl back in bed and maybe sleep another hour or two because Cole won't be wanting to snuggle forever or should I stay up and read the bible and take a shower and feel "prepared" for the day. I seriously go thru this everyday during the work week. So, after feeling like I can't catch up I decided today to stay awake and do the things mentioned above. It felt nice, although I knew my baby boy was snug in our bed, he didn't seem to miss me and decided to wake up at 5 till nine.

We played choo choos and play-do and colored and Cole worked on using the potty. He realized that peeing in the potty is super cool if you can try to pee on the cheerio. This picture cracks me up this was from yesterday and he was dropping one and decided to use his frog potty (which he never uses) We made "muffin" crayons out of broken crayons. We went to CVS to fetch some oreo cookies that he saw that he was eating in one of his photo album books that we looked thru today.
Cole helped me "measure" spices for dinner.

Cody and Cole played outside until they could hardly see anymore! The new pic at the top of the page is also from tonight. They had so much fun he was trying to "blow the snow" like daddy was using his plastic golf bag:)

This last picture cracks me up... he is getting ready to throw a snowball at Cole but look at his face, he looks like he is trying to get some major speed behind it!
We are blessed!

I suck!

This morning Cole and I were making breakfast. Monkey Bread to be exact. I thought that I would have Cole help, he loves that! So, i did. He shook up the bag of biscuits and put them into the bundt pan for me while I boiled the rest of the goodness on the stove. When he was done he pulled up his chair and was standing by me, playing with the train magnets on the fridge. Totally not caring to try to "help" me which is fine cause I usually don't let him when I am at the stove, for obvious reasons. Well, he was still playing with his magnets so I turned to pour the goodness over the biscuits and not 30 seconds later he starts crying really loud and I he is holding his hand. The poor baby decided to tough the only hot burner on the stove and burnt his little hand! I mean I felt horrible but jumped into the mommy will fix it mode. So, we got his boo boo bunny (ice pack thing) and sat on the couch and he cried and his teeth were chattering and he cried and cried. So, Cody got some cold water so he could keep his hand in it. So that helped for a few minutes. Cole kept saying he needed a car band aid so I thought if that will make you feel better than you can have one. So we put some cream on the band aid and stuck that on his palm. LET ME TELL YOU that did not help. SO fast forward and hour later the tears have finally stopped and he looks at his hand and starts trying to peel off his band aid saying "my hand all better" I think that was the tylenol talking cause this is what I see......

** Notice the blisters on all his fingers except for the pinky and ring and the blisters on his palms***
I win the worst mother award hands down.....well, as long as they aren't down on the stove burner...
