Cole and his thoughts

Cole had a few things that he has said today that I had to write down:

This morning he jumped into bed with me and we were talking about preschool. I asked him if he was excited and he said, "Yes". I then asked if he was ready to get some time away from mommy. He leaped across the bed and started hugging me and said, "No, mommy? can you cancel preschool, I don't want to be away from you." And even when I put him to bed he kept asking if I could "unsign him up from preschool" So, apparently, I did not do a good job in preparing him that I would drop him off and not stay with him. Here's to hoping he does fine Monday. We have his open house tomorrow night so I think that will help.

While Cole was eating breakfast he asked me, "How can Jesus still be in my heart? I have a lot of food in my belly." It made me smile.

Then at dinner out of the blue Cole says, "Mommy, I don't want daddy to marry you." I asked him why not, and he said " Cause I want to marry you when im 14" Well, my heart was melting and I tried explaining that mommy and daddy are already married and that if we weren't he wouldn't be here, but who knows what he thought of that.

Cole also told me the other day, "Mommy, (baby's name) is gonna have bad dreams, he is gonna wake up crying, i'm gonna get you to pick him up, and then I'm gonna hold him." He is so excited almost 99% of the time. Only every once in awhile I get asked, "why did you want another baby in your belly?" I try to explain that he is pretty amazing and we thought it would be fun to have another baby. He informed me, "well you're not gonna love him very much" I asked why and he said, "cause you love me the best"

He keeps asking "when is the baby gonna pop out?" I think he is hoping he (baby) comes out wanting to play super heroes with him....

the fly...

Cole just said, "mommy, do you know what that fly did?" "It bit me on the boob!"

Its a BOY its a BOY!

Well, its "ultrasound official" we are having baby boy #2! We are thrilled and this little guy looks healthy:)

Our big boy is amazing! I catch myself just staring at him and he is so so thoughtful. We were at a friends campfire and there were a bunch of kids running around so Cole was playing with them for awhile and next thing you know, he walks into the adult circle of chairs with 3 beautiful yellow flowers for me that he picked. I don't know if this one could get any sweeter.

Which, makes it wonderful to think of having another boy around here (not to mention not having to share my husband with another girl:) however, I feel that Cole has set a pretty high standard and i want this baby to be exactly how God made him but yet, am nervous because I love everything about Cole! Honestly, he is such a wonderful kid. yes, he can be naughty but he rarely has to be punished. usually, he listens to what he is told and he is proud of himself for listening the first time, unless he is without a nap (which is usually my fault). I love that Cole is so concerned about how I am feeling if I have a cold and is always praying for peoples hurt body parts:) So, i guess even if this little one is a complete handful and if he is naughty more than nice and not one to snuggle, I will still love him just the way he is because I know that God made this little baby just for me and I wouldn't want him any other way.

its been forever....

Well, i kind of am not good at updating but Cole had quite a interesting question this morning and I thought I would share....

Cole-" Mommy how do babies come out?"
Me- " (stuttering) "Well, Cole, what do you think?"
C- "a slide?"
M- "yes, thats right....a slide"
C- "Where is the slide?" (as he is staring at me)
M- "Ummm...why don't we ask daddy when he gets home..."
C- "No, I think you know"

OH MY GOODNESS!!! This little boy is totally calling me out. He was not gonna let it drop until daddy came home. Good grief:) How do these things even get in his mind?

C-O-L-E

Oh man... look at this sweet face! I want to kiss his little lips and rub my nose on his sweet chubby ckeeks. Hard to imagine he will be in preschool in just 6 short months.
Speaking of preschool..... so apparently he knows how to write his name. You have to tell him what letter to write (however when you ask him how to spell his name he will tell you) Oh, this name writing came as a shock because we have NEVER worked on writing letters. Everytime I ask if he wants to learn to write letters he says, "Nah".
This little guys imagination is running wild these days, which is very fun but kind of exhausting. He received a "Woody" doll for Christmas from my sister and he is now going everywhere instead of his "lightning mcqueen" car. Our fat dog, Moose, is now called "Buster" and an imaginary "Jessie" and "Bullseye" are running around everywhere! Jessie, Woody, Bullseye, and Cole are going on Buffalo hunts with Indians most of the days.....

Oh how I wish he would never grow up....I'm gonna miss everything about this little 3 year old.....well time to dry the tears and get myself around before he wakes up.

The ways of Cole---

I love the days when seeing joy is easy as pie. Well, that has been my week... makes for a pretty good week especially when the Code man is out of town... Here are some highlights of my week.

~Cole does not quite understand that everyone has a butt crack and that is is always "cracked". He talks about putting his butt crack on the "welf" (shelf)...I don't know why but it cracks me up. We were eating lunch today and he looked and me and said with a straight face, "I have a butt crack, again"

~ Cole was sitting on the potty and I was trying to fish a booger out of his nose. Well, the booger was pretty stuck and so we were slowly chiseling away at it when he says, "Mommy, try this (he reaches his hand around to the back of his head and starts hitting his head) maybe that will help!"

~ He also asked me one day "did you eat your boogers when you were a little girl?" To which I replied, "No" he then proceeds to say, "I do...they get stuck in the middle" (meaning between his teeth in the gap:) Okay, I have never seen him eat his boogers but that is definitely encouragement to remember to brush his teeth!

~When I ask him if he wants to go to preschool he says, "NO, you might get sad", he nailed that one on the head!

There are so many more but those are the ones that have brought me so much joy lately.

Oh yeah, this one is kind of funny but not so joyful....
We were waiting for Cody to get on Skype and I was making popcorn in the kitchen so I put the laptop by him and told him when the computer started to ring to yell for me so I could answer Cody's skype call. Well, not but 5 mins later I hear some mumbling about "T" and walk into the living room where he is holding up the "T" key. I asked him why he pulled it off and he says, "cause i don't like T" so he then proceeds to ask ,"where that other piece went?" crawls on the floor and brings me the remaining piece of the key.....I tried to be disappointed, I really really did but he was so honest about it, I just couldn't help it.
